MAGSR no longer requires a non-refundable application fee of $20. However, voluntary donations to the rescue are welcome any time. Furthermore, you understand that if you are approved for adoption, there is an adoption fee (that is not refundable) for each dog adopted.

Adopters are required to pay a non-refundable adoption fee of:

$450.00 for dogs under a year old
$400.00 for dogs ages 1 through 7 years old
$250.00 for dogs older than 7 years old
These fees cover a portion of the funds that we have already spent on the dog you adopt.  MAGSR dogs are vaccinated and spayed/neutered (unless they are too young or adopted prior to the surgery).  We pay for a fecal exam, a heartworm test (and treatment, if applicable), and we keep them on monthly heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative, while in our care.  We also pay for their boarding and supplies while they are with us.  Adoption fees help defray some of our expenses, so that we can save more dogs.

Adoption Application

MAGSR reserves the right to decline any application based on the information received or provided during the approval process, without explanation to the applicant. All information obtained during this process is considered confidential. Applications that are not completed IN FULL will not be processed. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

Due to the time involved in processing applications, please let us know as soon as possible if you have adopted elsewhere, are no longer interested in adopting, or would like to withdraw your application. This will allow us to focus our efforts on open applications and help find loving homes for our dogs.

Please do not consider adopting one of our dogs solely because of a sad story unless you are fully and genuinely committed to helping them work through their challenges and adjustment period. Big changes, like moving from place to place, only add stress to their lives and can lead to further issues. Dogs have feelings too—please consider theirs carefully when deciding to welcome one into your home. Our goal is for this to be their final move, into a loving and permanent FOREVER home.
